I work in an intuitive, mixed media approach, creating complex stories within my pieces.  I have been inspired by the cosmos for as long as I can remember and this desire to depict the vastness of time and the human experience is reflected in the layers of my paintings.  My background in cinema heavily influences my work and even when composing a still image, I infuse it with a history and life force, inviting the viewer to engage with the subject and interact on an emotional level.  I feel a responsibility to tackle salient issues with my work, and allow my styles to morph to best represent each topic.  However, the paintings are united by their rich deep colors and larger than life presence.
